The biggest challenge will be how to define employee (accountant) professional growth and development. Staff accountants used to do all this manual work and then grew up into being Seniors then managers and finally Partners. All the way "paying their dues" and proving they could do the "hard" work. Now how do you properly develop accountants while AI is doing all the "hard work"?
As an artist i am very tired of people using AI to "create art" and it is sickening that art people spend HOURS on is being stolen and used for a computer WITHOUT the artists consent.
The greed in these ai corporations is insane..
SPOILERS: This is how it will play out. AI takes jobs away > unemployment rises = less income from taxes for the government > Congress is forced to create more social programs and raise taxes on companies that use AI to offset the new struggles = companies don’t gain anything by overusing AI since there will be taxes.
GOP will be upset because they are forced to do this as it’s the only way they…
Funny OpenAi took time but done right, is eventually going to shock the world. Elon forced himself onto Tesla, ‘became’ a founder and now it’s failing lol
Agreed but he’s wrong on the demographic. Managers, engineers, scientists, programmers, HR, interior designers, realtors, salesman. Manual labor jobs will be the last jobs to be automated by AI.
I hate these aI bros in the comments trying to run damage control for there garbage program. the ai is built on feeding other people's artwork to produce anything there is no "creativity" You people found an artist's work and plagiarized their efforts.
it's not a tool when the machine does 99% of the work based on people's work you stole, stop acting like this is anything comparable to a camera …
A topic this important (the potential death of every single living thing on earth) deserves complete focus. It's a shame that Wolfram doesn't seem that keen on discussing the actually important points of disagreement (whether or not AI will lead to the death of every single living thing on earth), and chooses to side-track / talk about philosophy.
11:11 What if we have already reached that stage and these present experiences are an illusion observed by the AI of that future?
Paradox
For all we know the Covid thing was already the start of AI screwing with us.
The irony will be that AI won’t be the profit generator that companies hoped for and decimate economic buying power because of jobs it replaced.
👋AI DevX Engineer at a medium sized startup: biggest speed boost happens when you understand the solution, break down the work, keep scope small, and test as you go. So, literally nothing has changed about how you write great software. But you can write great and bad software faster.
Damn, chatgpt said "I didn't do it..." If that wasn't so concerning it would be funny.
But if AI makes a mistake and you die who can you sue? The robot? Google? We are not yet there.
brother the ID had a different name because it was a different guy, why would the automatic assumption be that it’s the same guy with a fake ID 💀
They claim that they dont want to remove the "human" part of it, or that the AI is almost human, but what makes us human is that every person you meet has their own agenda, their own hopes and dreams, their own idea of what kind of relationship they wantto have with you. The conflict and the give-and-take of establishing those relationships is what makes us human! When you do truly align with a s…
Having grown up without social media, or AI in its current form, l cannot imagine any of this!! Never heard of Character AI. WTHeck??
My heart breaks for this boy and his family.
ai has created a lot of pollution. environmental, water, land, noise, digital....can only imagine how its affecting the animals
They say automating jobs will lead to growth in different fields, but companies will be looking to automate those jobs too.
The AI revolution WILL make the production of goods cheaper, but prices will not go down. Food, clothes and housing will not become more affordable. The only thing that will change is that a few CEOs will get even more wealthy. That's pretty much it.
I this guy made some really good points. I completed disagree with his opinion on LaMDA being sentient... But after listening to him... I think that was the point. He said something outlandish so that the world would listen. AI is something that will change the world and it in the hands of massive corporations. This is the real message.
