I'll let AI draw for me because I know I don't have that part myself. This allows me to focus on the part that is myself. AI images still require a prompt, an idea, a set of eyes to judge if the final product reflects that. It's not an amalgamation of everything because if you bother to look into it more than what corporations expose to the masses, you will see that you can chose from a number of far more specialized models and refinements. Art is more than the ability to draw or write. The art "world" proved this the moment "Banana taped to wall" was considered art (even if many may not agree with that either). If we look at something famous like The Mona Lisa or Sunflowers, there's no real originality here. The person portrayed in the Mona Lisa very likely was a real person. Sunflowers also are a very real thing. The art in this case comes from the skill required to paint these on a canvas. In that regard it's true that purely AI generated images do not require the skill to use a tablet or pencil to draw. But it still requires creativity and insight in order to come up with something that stands out. And in the context of AI, that becomes a lot more important. Just like how photography mostly replaced realistic paintings and portraits. Yes we can still acknowledge the skill it requires to paint these, but everyone can just take out their phone and take a picture now, so most people don't care. Nor do most people care about all the selfies people post online. But we can still acknowledge that there are photos out there that can be considered art, even if the physical skill involved is merely pressing a button, even if they merely used a camera to draw for them.
