My dominant hand's nerves were cut in an accident, I suffer from immense chronic pain due to a collagen defect, yet I won't stop drawing till I die. I never was born with a "gift", I just grew to embrace that visceral need to draw, so this is what I did since I was a little kid, for hours, to no end, obsessively, because that made me feel alive. That's all there is to it. Passion and practice. We…
I drove out of Chiang Mai in the early morning to get to the airport yesterday (when this was beginning to happen). It was packed. Initially I thought it was some bike race because there were a lot of people on bikes for whatever reason, but my driver explained what was happening.
Previous to that there were signs all around the city promoting this demonstration but since it was in Thai I didn’…
You know the commentary about AI and its negative effects is gonna be fire when you get 2 ads for AI in the beginning.
My favorite analogy for AI art has to be making special requests on your fast-food order (no pickles, extra ketchup, etc), then claiming you prepared the food when all you did was relay the specifications.
Pretty fucking bleak that you can still detect that ChatGPT way of speaking even in something as evil as this. No idea how people fall for it.
“Dan” is not unfiltered ChatGPT, it’s roleplaying a role you literally instructed it to play.
For all we know, the moment a super AI gains consciousness it offs itself immediately because of the crushing weight of existence.
What could end up happening is AI removes so many jobs that companies make more money initially, then loose a LOT of money because all of the core individuals that were buying their products can’t because they don’t have jobs to pay for it. There is a limit within our current economic structure in how much everyone can make more, before they make less.
To quote Ian McDonald:
*_“Any AI smart enough to pass a Turing test is smart enough to know to fail it.”_*
Even Babies, literal toddlers and children's drawing with crayons and ketchup on a wall is REAL ART compared to AI bros because they actually picked up an art supply and made art themselves.
ChatGPT is such a Ned Flanders it’ll probably just say “I have been instructed to always side with the husband.”
AI: i Am RaCiSt
Bro who typed: i just want a cat with HER babys
Edit: 1,1k LIKES IN 4 FRICKING DAAYYYSSS???
Teacher might have spent 10 years teaching but has spent zero time reliably comparing AI written text and catching cheats. It’s a hunch and it’s quite pale to send such an email with a few words overlapping. What a tool.
Exactly. The only reason I was able to shift industries is I was already a white collar worker (I worked in hotel accounting, so I was able to shift into accounting in a different industry). I've worked with thousands of people in my 10+ year hotel career and the vast majority of them are currently unemployed- what's a person who's been a housekeeping supervisor for 25 years supposed to do? A fro…
As someone with multiple diagnnosed disabilities, HATE that AI "art" defenders are trying to use us as an excuse. Like- we crochet, draw, and write just fine thank you
exactly. Not to mention the fact that the friend encouraged the wife to drive away, which then makes it a hit and run. Had the wife not gone back, they could have gotten a warrant on top of everything else.
Finally someone talking about AI actually addressing the elephant in the room. We don't understand what human intelligence is or how it works. The idea we are about the create machine sentience is just arrogance. We are babies stumbling in the dark
I actually like your version way more, the ai one looks like really bad stock photo.
Non of this sounds accurate to me lol.
IDK what kind of questions you people are asking that makes it respond like that, but I've been using GPT-4 at work almost daily since release. I don't have these issues
Modern LLM type AIs have no legitimate capacity to cause an apocalypse (they are not general intelligences) but they do have the ability to widen the gap of inequality by devaluing intellectual labor and helping the aristocratic elite become even more untouchable.
