@arforafro5523 THATS WHAT I THOUGHT! I felt like I was crazy reading the comments, because it feels so AI.
@Colsenbolsen He literally says that he doubts the guy is innocent because the "AI is pretty cool" and because he's "acting very suspicious" - he's not being sarcastic.
Also, I can feel that an AI bro is gonna come here and say sarcastically "I hate going outside cuz no one bothered to make it :(" even though millions of years of geological processes made it.
The they'll say sarcastically "well boats shouldn't exist cuz it replaces those who swim :(" even though art is more comparable to sports because drowning=death, but you wouldn't use a boat in a swimming co…
I ride up in NorCal. I hear you on drivers not paying attention. It happens regardless of driver aids though, right? I mean, you ever watch a police chase where a cop with full lights and sirens has to go around a person because they have no idea what is happening behind them? If people can’t see that, how can you expect them to see a person on a bike!?
At least with driver aids the CAR may get…
Lies and more lies.
Just admit, it took you a bit to realize it was AI and you thought it was cool.
Hypocrisy at its finest.
@JamesP7 You are engaged in arguments in MULTIPLE comment threads on this video, you are everywhere I look, debating any critical take on ai. Do something productive with your time.
But to answer your question: Collages credit artists and don't claim to be original. AI 'artists' will write entire essays defending their uncredited, unconsented work of thousands of artists as their own work
You …
I’m no developer, I’m a guy who uses a lot of spreadsheets with long & somewhat complicated formulas. AI is amazing when I need help with something relatively simple like if I forget how to use HLOOKUP. But when things get complicated, AI gives me the wrong answer, then if I point out out the flaw, it says I’m right, then spits out a completely different formula that still doesn’t work. Then, bef…
Nah. We’ve had 20 years to prepare for AI taking all human jobs. The average person treated it like a fantasy delusion rather than taking it seriously. Being unprepared was inevitable.
@MusicAsWeMakeItthe problem with capitalism is capitalism doesn't mix with capitalism.
The drive for ever larger profits, and ever lower costs always meant jobs were going to be automated away as soon as technologically feasible.
The end result of capitalism is the end of capitalism.
Well I can't say if they are all crazy,
but the death stares from the men in public
and the constant badgering from her male "friends" openingly trying to
get her to dump you.......
Just WOW
Not only that, but the lack of public healthcare means the benefit load for each employee is much higher, causing employers financial incentive to pile on overtime, instead of hiring more people.
And if you show a peacekeeping AI the internet, they'll instantly assume they need to exterminate humanity.
it's so horrible if you try on Amazon to sort by price or filter by price nothing shows up or maybe a couple of listings, switch it back to relevance and you have 20 pages of results.
Change your search to match something you see on the list hoping it will narrow down those 20 pages and you can't even find the one you saw to base the new search on it.
Surely there's a meaningful distinction between using facial recognition to track one's every move, versus using it to investigate a specific crime.
Consider a murder investigation. If the police find fingerprints or DNA at the scene, they can run them through databases to identify a suspect. But if they have a surveillance photo of the suspect, we're going to ban them from using software to co…
Can't stand FB, but on this matter, it's good to see a company stand up for itself against the run-away activism/advertiser pressure train. Silicon Valley has a lot to answer for when it comes to online censorship, most of it scaring the hell outta me, so well done for standing its ground.
Bigger story is “Federal government is using facial recognition and scrubbing social media in breach of privacy”
I would say that global leadership will do nothing on climate change. Advances in engineering and science are they only thing that will push back climate change. Economics are what is killing coal power plants in the west. EV's are coming to the forefront now because the tech has matured to the point that it is cost competitive.
As somebody who has worked in medicinal chemistry, I'm surprised the AI ONLY came up with 8.9 million designs. There are almost infinite possibilities for drug compounds (even considering that there are many criteria that they have to meet). This kind of thing gets tried pretty often and has a lot of problems that need to be sorted. Are the compounds the right shape? Size? Are there enough flat c…
In truth they would likely be the ones perpetrating the terrorism. As Nestle, Coke, Exxon etc do (they’ve murdered and tortured thousands in production countries collectively)
It’s funny that you can now order pet supplies on many sites. Pets.com was just ahead of its time.
