I work in the Tech field and am already seeing Ai have a massive impact on how things are run and also the large amount of job loses it's causing. The future is frightening tbh for future Generations.
no, ai is not hiding its full power... this is just more hype building to prop up stock value and spur more shareholder investment. ai is a glorified predictive text program. it completes the stories we ask of it.
Something a lot of people don't understand is that stuff like chatgpt (or the whole character ai whatever you call it thing) isn't actually "intelligent" they're just textbots trained on millions of (usually non consensualy sourced) books, fanfics, comics, papers, articles etc etc etc. They recognize patterns because they're patterns and not because they understand "why".
The AI bubble cannot burst fast enough. AI is a scam and the sooner people figure that out, the better off we will all be. So sorry for this family’s loss.
If you think you are the artist by ordering an AI to do something for you, then that means the Sistine Chapel was made by Giovannino de Dolci, the Guernica was made by the Spanish Government, and all the Marvel movies were solely written by Kevin Feige
If the AI is not citing the source and/or quoting more than three paragraphs, I don't think it qualifies as fair use. Charging money for other people's copyrights without permission is theft.
Drawing living things using AI will also considered impermissible in Islam because AI is the tool that we used for.
If you're truly worried about the future of AI, focus less on the terrifying computing power of AI and more on the hardware and energy requirements it needs to run. It requires huge amounts of energy to exist. That makes it vulnerable.
I'm autistic and I used ChatGPT for my most recent term papers, not to write the whole thing for me or anything like that but, for example, to summarize long texts for me so I could see if they included the information I needed to cite in my paper. Usually, reading these texts takes me ages because my neurodivergence simply does not equip me qith a long enough attention span, but having AI transf…
I remember watching your previous video on AI "art" and leaving a pretty lengthy comment on how AI was the best thing ever and the slap in the face that artists deserved... I can't find it anymore, and honestly that's for the better.
I've been an artist for a few years at this point, as in, actual drawings on paper. I've been criticised several times for no apparent reason by people claiming tha…
While I am not studying those language models, I have some experience with them. They are auto-complete machines on steroid, but they do not think. They are designed to imitate human speech. They are mimicking without understanding.
The real danger is not the AI themselves, but how they will be used by humans.
something that didn't seem to get addressed is that even if ai creates new jobs - what's stopping ai from taking those fields over as well?
This guy is very thoughtful, and very clear in his presentation of his ideas. He is raising excellent concerns about AI.
A beautiful video and great points.
Some time ago, I generated images by AI for some productions. At the beginning, it was awesome, with time, the process became tedious, the visual style became boring and overused.
So I preferred to keep learning how to do visuals, drawing, 3D renderings, and although it takes longer, it's wonderful to learn and be in control of what I do.
As someone who h…
He’s like the guy working at Jurassic Park yet this story ends with AI not dinosaurs…
thank you for elaborating on your support for human artists. the last video... i heard and understood what you were saying, but ended up very bothered by the defense of AI. of course it has its uses, but there are major downsides, and i appreciate you clarifying.
This is all I ever wanted to hear concerning this. I don't care if someone wants to use AI for personal use, but no one should be able to profit off of something they didn't create. That should includes corporations, and hopefully this will be the case.
I just got an AI generated ad for Chat-GPT midway through this. This is crazy
dude ai said the strongest and biggest tornado in nevada was "the 1999 bridge creek moore oklahoma tornado"
So sorry for the parents. AI is going to be used for evil and the Big Shitty Bill allows it to be unregulated for 10 years?
