it gets even more glorious once you realize that since AI code is not really flagged in any meaningful way it will find its way into the training data. the longer we use AI in coding the more AI will reinforce its own coding habits. And the more lopsided towards crappy code we get.

I think the timeframes are way off. Any good programmer who interacts with AI will testify the end result is subpar. It will take many years or even decades before true and available to all AGI. However, some idiot might give control of military assets to some AI algorithm in the meanwhile to start WW III. That could happen earlier.

I hope AI goes away forever, with the sole exception of medical research. In reality, I think stageplays and in-person performance art are going to make a big comeback.

I don't think any art is bad since that person has put some effort in to it and has tried to make it look good, unless they intentionally tried to make it bad. Ai images are obviously not art

⁠​⁠@ImSodaLirious What I know is that AI simply plagiarizes pre-existing creative work. It doesn’t get “inspired”, it plagiarizes. This feels like a disingenuous framing of the speaker’s argument to try and conflate human inspiration with artificial plagiarism.
