The robot saying I am alive doesn't mean a human sitting there would be alive too 😂😂
disabled artist here!! i have arthritis badly in my hands and i havent stopped drawing, even if my joints get stuck i never stopped making art. making art yourself is a reward, ai doesnt give you that same amount of happiness you get when you get to share it with friends and people that like your art.
What they need is a fund that AI companies pay into that pays royalties to anyone that submits data for training or has had their data scraped from the internet
I think what a lot of people confuse about art is the idea that creativity and technical skill are separate things. People will say "I just want AI to handle all the tedious parts so I can get to the fun parts", and I'm not gonna say that there are absolutely no tedious parts to creation ever, but I think that usually, at least when it comes to drawing, what people think of as tedious is still ve…
It feels futile to try to stop these people, but at this point I figure if they're okay with AI art, they deserve the slop they get.
Plus Shad is irrelevant at this point. If anything I should be mad at this video for reminding me that he still exists lol.
I'm really surprised that all those stories about AI taking command never mention one crucial problem: energy resources. Many engineers around the world dream of fusion energy, but they are still very far from reaching that goal. A world like the one depicted in this video would require huge amounts of energy — far more than what we can produce today.
Maybe AI's first task would be to finally ena…
Very understandable. These people want a good rest of sleep 💤 and not being waked up all the time by loud honks beeps of these cars. Waymo must know this.
I've been working on the Web for about 20 years now. From graphic design to 3D and now frontend development. I want to resist AI for as long as possible, and I thought this would be possible - but the reality is I don't have any choice anymore. It's been pushed down our throats and I'm not happy anymore. AI is taking everything I like about dev; the struggle, the joy of finding a solution to an i…
Ai is definitely improving. This can be very stressful for us artists who literally spend HOURS on projects, and then a Ai can do it in seconds, after STEALING half of our work. I don’t like this. At all.
Ngl, I think since it’s ai art it’s a fairly victimless crime. Doesn’t mean they should deny that they did it, but the ai’s feelings aren’t gonna get hurt.
The most important point is that AI doesnt think in years or decades like us, because its basically immortal. It can execute a plan for a takeover for hundreds or even thousands of years without humans even recognizing it until its too late.
So much risk for such a few benefits. Of course curing diseases would be fantastic, but will this really be available to the majority of humans, I very much…
Yeah, this is why I don't mess with DRIVERLESS cars. I don't even want to be next to them on the street!!!!!
Imagine its the end of the world and some robot with a cowboy hat and a machine gun goes “yee haw”
If AI is a tool, then there's a very clear difference between using a hammer yourself to make something and just telling the hammer what to make without doing it yourself
The most amazing part is that this robot knows how to say thank you while majority of people forget this very simple way of showing gratitude
The scariest part of AI is that I know the drone robots are coming, and some of them will do card tricks.
A recent situation on twt had a digital artist discuss how their art piece got stolen from their art stream before it was finished and the thief put it through an AI program before they could finish the original drawing. The thief then demanded that the original artist credit THEM for "inspiration".
something even funnier.
theres still people out there thinking that once ai takes their jobs they'll get paid while sitting at home, like the government isn't just going to tell you to get a different job
Ms. Hao reminds me of Kara Swisher and how journalism done correctly gives clarity to what a democracy should look like and how fighting for that freedom is imperative. She follows a unique path to discovery, bravo! Aaron Bastani your interviewing skills are outstanding. You're a good listener.
AI being tremendously useful to human beings is pointless if it’s going to destroy humankind.
