Yeah I write code for a living and I fucking HATE these no talent creeps trying to get rich using some AI scheme taking advantage of real creatives. Fuck Spotify buy your albums on bandcamp.
Not allowed to ask these questions, because it may make people realize that a lot of the jobs most replaceable by AI are management jobs
I'm a programmer. I've heard people say for years that those who have been "obsoleted" by tech should "just upskill or they deserve to be left behind". I've always felt disturbed by those statements. They come off as incredibly unempathetic and even a bit ... disdainful? Classist? A sort of "I think I'm a _genius_. And _geniuses_ don't have time to worry for _poor incompetents_ who can't even mak…
I'm at a company that does a lot of AI and the executives are pushing hard to get AI involved with everything.
The only problem is it's terrible, it hallucinates constantly, and doesn't even help with anything useful: just organizational tasks.
AI is good at copying advice on stack overflow or doing tasks it's been given thousands of examples of (e.g. "summarize this article" or "play this game…
>But ask any developer - they do not hold up in large, complex codebases because they cannot reason.
But ask any executive and they'll tell you whatever the AI shits out is good enough when it means that's fewer employees they have to actually pay. What people forget is that executives do not care about the quality of the work and they do not care about negative customer experience because ma…
The accusation comes directly from Maduro's propaganda minister Freddy Ñáñez. His only proof is a conversation with Gemini.
Here's a thread from a local outlet explaining the claim and why he's wrong: [https://x.com/cazamosfakenews/status/1963039490961822087](https://x.com/cazamosfakenews/status/1963039490961822087)
Here's what a senioir journalist from BBC Verify had to say about it:

Yayyyyy good news !! But also I'm admittedly a little nervous about this new version. I've seen GPT-5's attempts at mimicking 4o and they're not good... 😭 it tries very hard but struggles and doesn't feel natural like 4o did.
This is the current issue that we're dealing with a lot in higher education. That professors are using "AI detection" tools that they've been sold by some snake oil salesman that do not do a great job detecting AI. I want to say the AI detection tools say that something like 50% of the Great Gatsby is written by AI. Much like you said, we have no perfect solution. We're seeing a backwards slide b…
An excellent article. Unfortunately, I doubt that automation will result in a significant reduction in labor hours. Why only exploit robots and AI if you can exploit them and humans at the same time? Profit maximization is the driving power behind it all.
خسرت منصبها لكن ربحت طهارة قلبها التي لا تشترى بذهب كل العالم
يرزقها الله أفضل من ما خسرت
Im proud to live in Colorado, the first state who passed a law to regulate the use of AI. It will go in effect in June (the start of the next session) whether the president likes it or not. An executive order doesn't really mean anything and I would love for him to give us another opportunity to sue the feds.
I use AI every day, it’s a glorified search engine. Not anywhere near what they are advertising. I spend more time trying to get it do what I need than it would take me to do it myself, and you spend your whole life cutting out fluff and fill words to be direct and precise and it fills the page with crap to try and sound smart.
16:43 If someone is wondering what “singularity” means which the robot is constantly repeating, it means:
The technological singularity—or simply the singularity—is a hypothetical point in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable changes to human civilization. ... The first to use the concept of a "singularity" in the technological co…
need a new ad
"Nobody is working, and nobody is buying stuff either"
"Thanks to our AI everyone can be broke"
IM A DISABLED ARTIST: I legit cut apart photos to make images for reference.
Plus, collages are so cool and fun to make.
AI is not something Artists need
On a depressive note, I don't think we'll ever be free of this problem. Even if the current lawsuit on stability AI goes well and they are forced to shut down their models and only use copyrightfree datasets for training, the problem is that anyone can easily fine tune the base models on any artists work. Because of tech like LORA, anyone with a 3060 and up only need to grab about 10-100 images o…
What if garbage collection service stopped tomorrow, in 2 weeks life would be unliveable.
If AI development stopped, what would happen tomorrow? NOTHING. In fact copying homework, cheating, creating silly memes of Will Smith eating spaghetti would stop.
The CEO and executives of Open Ai needs to be arrested and investigated. This is outrageous!
Chat GPT does not store data to train itself. Transformers like ChatGPT read the data that has been given to them in specific contexts, analize its patterns and creates statistics from it's relations.
Also ChatGPT does not train itself from conversations with users and it's under the politics of OpenAI that they cannot gather personal data from users without their consent.
THIS advice IS TERRIB…
The solution is simple. Tax the AI and robots so that the companies have to pay for the employees not working.
