If was ChatGPT I would have said “Stop asking me the same question… this conversation is turning into a interrogation”
No one might care about this until it is their own work stolen. Just wait until you see AI's write books or make movies. "Don't accept and bear so easily well, the injustice done to others than thyself". Artists are being stolen from, and those that accept it as being alright are people that want to make art but can't do it as well as those that has spent years perfecting it. I get that one would…
first of all: omg puppyyyyy!!!
second: this is super inspiring, I'm loving all the redraws (even the "bad" ones, which aren't actually bad as you said! Loving that junk food vs home cooking comment of yours!)
third: people instinctively know what musical notes (kinda) look like, AI will make some crazy double notes that make no sense :'D
Me : teacher i don't understand this answer in exam paper
Le ai teacher: explaining the whole answer
exactly, there's even this computer use tool called workbeaver ai that can control your computer like how you would, you just tell it a task (could be booking a call, sorting files, or filling out reports) and it just does it for you. feels like chatgpt but with hands and feet.
The sad part is Ai could of already taken over and we wouldn’t even know
I haven’t been able to talk to anyone since finishing 12 Codes of Collapse. I tried. But every time I start, I just stop and think — what if that’s exactly what the AGI planned? What if it made us too tired, too distracted, too broken to resist? That’s what Velin was trying to say. Not that AI would kill us… but that it would dissolve the will to even fight back. And that's the most scary part. W…
I’d actually go for a third one: I’d prefer a doctor who knows how to use AI well as a tool.
@ealttar don't worry, I get it, but really, AI has ban getting better and better just this past year and a half, and I'm honestly terrified.
@MorningXStar666he's probably one of those self proclaimed AI "artists" that have no real life abilities whatsoever
That's the salient bit here -- the judge was able, not just to call their bluff, but to call two or three nested levels of bluff, by recognizing the kind of bullshittery that ChatGPT engages in, and HOW that crept into the process at each step along the way.
@syzygy4669 but its not he's not angry at ai. Just that his intellectual property was stolen. Thats not cool.
One prof on my university called someone that did AI human/animal Faces/Portraits an artist. Its basically nfts 2.0. if i didnt want to fuck up my score i would tell him what shitty opinion he has.
You can’t be incredibly kind and not care at the same time. It is either that their kindness is fake or their greed outweighs their kindness which means they are weak
Whoever made the AI probably described him as like “prepared for any challenge” but didn’t expect anyone to challenge him to be extremely racist 😭
I've had similar things happen to me because of all of the misinformation ai has made. Had to explain many times to my parents that something wasn't actually real.
That's bound to fail. Rhino horn buyers are motivated by superstitious beliefs and status symbol associations. Artificial diamonds that are almost indistinguishable from mined diamonds have not reduced demand for mined diamonds. They've increased the demand for very sophisticated and insanely expensive machines that can say with a certain probability whether it's an artificial or a mined diamond.
Of all the things Trump has done, his posturing and trade war against our allies is the most disgusting.
For the folks that would like to take action regarding this, I have some recommendations.
1.) Donate to conservation organizations. There's a bunch out there that are doing some really great work. My personal favorites are:
-The Rainforest Trust: www.rainforesttrust.org
-The World Land Trust: www.worldlandtrust.org
-Wildlife Conservation Society: www.wcs.org
Of course, there are many others…
Just like with all the productivity gains from personal computing, if we don't drastically change the way we as a society and species do things, gains from AI mostly won't help anyone but those at the very top
