"SHUT. DOWN. EVERYTHING.
Or don't, I mean we have to worry about the economy of course..."
Until an AI becomes a free thinking and truly sentient entity, I wouldn't give it the final say in anything of such importance and danger as warfare. You wouldn't want it to pre-emptively nuclear strike France because it forgot that fireworks arent ICBM's, heh. Hell, I hope we'll have our guns stored away in boxes or used for recreational purposes in the future, not pointed at each other.
Even i…
It will, but if Germany conditions the energy deal on democratic reforms leftists will say that is "regime change" and we should leave them with their dictatorial government that oppresses it's people.
For those who don’t know, Modi is very much a moderating force within his party.
Knew it was female day 1. There were clues! Like naming a ship.
Boys can be just too damn violent, Aiden will tame us. Else she’ll just zap us. So she told me.
That’s just my Reddit “Personal Bias” after all. And you do say “please” right?

Friends: u r in some kind of AI cult! Me: here’s some kool aid, ChatGPT came up with it, says it’s super tasty!
Because it atleast takes some form of effort on a humans part to copy something and they could only do so much. Ai could synthesis a writers entire body of work over the span of decades in seconds, and any smuck has the ability to do this. Ai dosnt create anything new it uses other people’s copyrighted work and cuts them out of the profits.
The AI has no empathy nor does it ever experience pain, or any other human symptom.
It has only terminology and rhetoric in its brain.
Yeah if my doctor takes advice from an AI, that's the day I find a new doc, if they can't use their brain and degree, gotta rely on AI for advice, they need a new profession......
You'd think so, but I've had discussions with people on Reddit that insist that ChatGPT should be given human rights, since "it's clearly sentient, and it's perverse to deny this". People are fucking bonkers, dude.
You don’t get to decide what modern AI is. AI has a collective conscious meaning that these people are clearly exploiting. No one would care if they were called something new, it’s in calling them AIs that I have a problem with
Personally, and I know some will downvote this, I could care less. It’s always going to be a race to the bottom. I’m more worried about the McDonald’s or Wendy’s worker who will soon enough be replaced by AI and robots.
If they are outperformed by the execs who hire real writers, well then it’s self correcting.
But honestly a lot of the writing on broadcast tv is so basic maybe the AI should do it. So many shows where the writing team is in constant flux, following basic formulas, etc.
When AI creates something it is not copyrightable. I'd hope everything that is created by AI gets instantly used by everyone with no payments. Corporations should not benefit off government protection while eliminating jobs.
Musicians with intelligence would never cede their creativity to AI because AI will simply turn around and use it against them. We musicians see patterns early, and we were appalled by Al and it’s implications. The writers here want no part of AI for good reasons. The managers who wish to use AI to replace humans will learn the hard way, that their product is worthless and they will bankrupt t…
so what you are saying is this ruling actually BENEFITS the studios.
they can use AI to get to 99% of the deliverable product, make the last 1% of changes and slap their IP rights sticker on it.
i was in disagreement with this ruling before, and now i'm even more against it.
the title of the hearing like all of the other hundreds of hearings on the topic are senseless. you can't regulate ai you regulate how ai is used in society. Like you don't regulate cars or guns you regulate what type of cars and guns are allowed in society and how they are used.
Unless talking about fully sentient ai there's no point in talking about "regulating ai" rather than regulating the "…
Ai Art controversy would literally not exist if not for late stage capitalism. Why would anyone be afraid of stolen artwork when everyone has equal access to creative resources and the art isn’t tied to their livelihood?
When I realized **ALL** of your text messages, pictures everything you send (both iPhone and Android) is streamlined directly to various 3rd party endpoints such as IG and FB to name a few, with the addition of AI having access to all of that data as it’s already on their servers instead of the bullshit promise of keeping AI on just your device… it’s wild.
My gf is a project manager at Apple an…
One: I don't *want* an ASI controlled by humans. That sounds like a recipe for disaster
Two: any LLM trained on human data has shown human like behaviour so far (acts better when treated politely, can get defensive etc) so there is a big chance an AGI will show human traits too, for better or worse
Three: people claim an ASI will a) disobey orders while simultaneously b) blindly follow it's r…
Okay cool. So what does it make the guy who commented on the post by the loser asking his AI gf about his new car? 😘
