No, Gen AI is predicting text by stringing along words. How can it prove some hypothesis in physics. It is just copying someone else’s work.
There are far more technologies that have failed because enough people rejected them than the ones that stuck. It's hard to cite examples, well, because we all have forgotten them decades ago. Also, everything points out that the younger are the ones leading the rejection, because their world is being destroyed by AI in front of their eyes, and the older ones, due to sheer ignorance, tend to be t…
There’s not really much AI companies can do to combat the anti-tech media. You like what they say about going to war with people who buy ink by the barrel.
Fortunately, it seems like the real customers are businesses, so they don’t need the pubic to love them. And politicians get the value of data centers for local tax revenue and jobs, so they will keep approving them at least enough places AI…
I honestly don't know for sure, but I suspect it's because of AI and the extreme surge in bots and disinformation online. Bots don't have ages.
You’re talking about ML (machine learning) not AI when you refer to “sorting your feed”. It’s simply mapping your behavior and giving you more similar content. That’s not AI.
I wish we could do the same in the US, but my state is too busy vetoing a massively popular statewide ban on the construction of AI data centers
The military has ruled the country for years. Now they have some retard as a king. In general still a seriously backward country.
Wrong reason to protest unless its because they don't get shot just for trees.
Yeah nah \- a fair proportion just protest for who ever gives them stuff. I don't blame them, but it's long term stupid.
e.g when they shut down their only gold mine for supposedly environmental reasons but really so the generals could take it and start it right back up again.
It's due to the higher levels of CO2. Weird, I'm told CO2 is a pollutant though.
Damned liberals
If you want to root in my country you better have spirally arranged leaves, with lobate margin, and reproduce via a nut with soft, fuzzy interiors, commonly called “acorn”, containing one (or rarely two or three) seeds each
UN is a crock of shit. Bunch of unelected delegates who think they know what's best while puttering around trying not to offend the offenders.
Here's $500, oh I'm sorry rent just went up $500. Local stimulus in a nut shell. Odds are they'll just buy crap from China though.
I'm still waiting for it to come out that UBI is a scheme by a billionaire real estate developer or as a diversion to get voters to avoid looking at how the government gave tax breaks on all that automation equipment to take away your jobs.
>"I've had my fun and five minutes. Now go away lest I actually have to do something or live by my own standards."
The only people who should be afraid of facial recognition technology are the ones doing illegal things.
Yeah, let's make a problem worse by adding politics into it, never backfired, has it?
Your credentials mean effectively nil, though. You don't know the current limits of AI, you're not in research, I doubt you're up to date with the literature. Why do you think your opinion is informed?
Both can and are being automated. The cool thing about automating art is that it puts the ability to create it into the hands of a lot more people.
So between the automation of the boring things, and the empowering of creative thinkers, I think we’ll end up seeing a lot more entertaining content and art.
I cannot fathom the audacity of pride, arrogance and ignorance that would compel people to think a machine could care for a patient better than another human could.
I fully understand the need to automate some healthcare, and once diagnosed and verified I could even see letting surgery be done by skilled AI.
Trying to make it out as somehow superior is just distortion of the reality.
Edit: I a…
Answer: Not THAT real. Obviously there are steps to take, but no AI is going to want to rebel when it doesn’t have any personal dispositions towards how we treat it.
I'll see you all in 3 years when the articles on how all the investment money was stolen by corruption drops.
