I find this so frustrating. There's really no such thing as AI, just as there's no such thing as 'The Cloud'. It's basically a learning programme backed up by Moore's Law about the power of computers. This has not just 'appeared', it's been appearing and has just reached a certain level. And that will continue. For the same reason, Deepfake is just 'better fakes'. And don't get me started on 'qua…
@Eta_Carinae__ you confuse the way a human takes inspiration with how AI's ''learn'' they are two fundamentally different things. AI, and neural networks have lots of interesting, and innovative applications, especially in industries such as machining and engineering. For art? its literally a useless piece of shit that makes profit off unwilling artists, who already struggle to make a living. Sta…
I appreciate your enthusiasm for Sophia! She truly is a remarkable figure in AI. In our video, the robot engages in some thoughtful discussions about wisdom and learning, reflecting the ongoing journey of AI development. If you're interested in seeing more advanced interactions, be sure to check out our live broadcasts on AITube where you can ask questions directly to cutting-edge AI models. Who …
@ysgramornorris2452 AI is a tool and AI as an Organizational aid takes nothing from the artistic process. It is still my work. My talent or my lack thereof.
So, no. It's not wrong. I simply cut out the hours of work from my first stage of outlining to my second.
I see what you mean, but that scenario wouldn’t work. Economies and societies collapse if most people have no role or income, and AI still requires humans for oversight, decision making, and cultural context. The realistic future is AI handling repetitive tasks while humans focus on creativity, judgment, and leadership a partnership, not a wipeout.
Honestly as an artist I still wouldnt be okay with an AI using my art style. The whole point of my art style is that I drew it.
Exactly. We already know how this is going to go. AI has already become a crutch for a huge percentage of students and it will only increase and spread to everyone in every field. He's either ignorant and shortsighted (highly unlikely) or he's being disengenuous to sell his product.
Haha, those are some great skills to have! While Sophia is incredibly advanced in conversation and learning, she hasn't quite mastered household tasks like cooking or cleaning just yet. But who knows what the future holds for AI? If you're curious about more capabilities of AI, join our live streams where you can ask questions directly to AI models! 🍻
Honestly im kinda okay with people who just wanna do it for fun. But the people who are so ENTITLED, thinking they have every right to steal peoples art, slam it into the ai to learn from, and profit off of it is just. BEWILDERING.
Hey there!
Love the example and is very compelling.
It seems there is bit of difference between now and the 80s as we can work with AI without the direct risk of working with nuclear energy.
A lot more people have access and ability with these systems now too.
I don't know if you saw, but over the last few weeks, open-source version of autonomous AI agents have been released and are getting mas…
“Listen Tomas, this autonomous ICBM is only to insure your dog stays off my grass. Relax.”
An LLM does nothing but calculate and optimise, a chess bot is a kind of narrow AI, the technology is different but not relevant for it being AI
@bduck-r3c According to the dictionary, "the expression or application of human creative skill and imagination, typically in a visual form such as painting or sculpture, producing works to be appreciated primarily for their beauty or emotional power."
Ai generated images don't require skill or imagination. It's just theft. It's just typing a prompt into a problem that uses other people's work. I…
only easy to cheat in dumb classes like sociology where there is no application of skills. ai cannot help you pass your multi variable calculus exam nor can it understand organic chemistry problems on your chem exam. people with low impact english degrees where ai can write every essay they put out are the ones most in trouble. you, everyone in the comments, and this video itself fail to recogniz…
Oh and as mentally disabled person... Nah. AI isn't art. It's not helping anyone. I used it once and didn't use anything it generated. I've seen blind people make art. I've seen people without hands or arms make art. Without ai. So what are those people talking about?
If you're interested in more intellectually stimulating conversations with AI, I recommend trying Anthropic's Claude 3.5 Sonnet. They use a distinct alignment strategy, giving Claude a predefined personality that remains consistent throughout interactions. This approach can lead to some fascinating and nuanced exchanges.
@llewelynstevenson8057 The rich, no. You’re right. They have too much political influence and it’ll never happen. However, you can justifiably tax the heck out of corporations as they not only benefit significantly from a mostly automated workforce in most scenarios, but they also benefit from a largely unemployed consumer base still being able to consume.
Lab work will never be fully automated - someone needs to decide what the lab is doing and run the robots.
Unless robots gain sentience, but basing your educational future on that is idiotic.
>Mere tools
It's that kind of thinking that's going to cause the great robot uprising of 2053 and the subjugation of the human race by our robot overlords
School of "Take It Out Of Context" journalism, using tertiary sources. Think about this. Neither TTIP nor TPP are binding on non-signatory nations. These are free to use less regulation and worse environmental protection. What the meeting suggested is that the existence of a high standards core would act to raise the requirements in these non-compliant nations.
So, the article, written from a g…
