Hey there!
Love the example and is very compelling.
It seems there is bit of difference between now and the 80s as we can work with AI without the direct risk of working with nuclear energy.
A lot more people have access and ability with these systems now too.
I don't know if you saw, but over the last few weeks, open-source version of autonomous AI agents have been released and are getting massive adoption.

This seems harder to control then centralized nuclear arms efforts sponsored by governments.
