No, they are not, or we wouldn't have this discussion. There is nothing wrong with profits. Without profits, no private company would do risky researches that cost a ton and may not be fruitful. You wouldn't have any vaccines to begin with.

This is a lie. You can tech transfer to GMP facilities in just the US proper and have a huge increase in production. This is putting profits over lives and history will not judge kindly.
