AI development and adoption is a mirror of society, and people desiring to be 'managers' with little contextual understanding of what their doing. Just following the narrative. Im a middle aged Architect currently on a mental health break due to woke. Ive spent time recently using chatgpt to assist learning python in blender. I think AI may replace admin formulaic woman day care jobs. But is no …

This is so true. I feel I have become a way better developer ever since AI has come out😊

LLMs aren't the route to AGI. I think to achieve AGI we need to make an AI architecture which has all the cognitive abilities of a human, can do continuous learning, and is multimodal and agentic. Clearly you can't achieve these requirements through LLM route. Maybe LLMs can be an interface for AGI but it can't be a sole identity of an AGI.

And then you throw in the fact that AI recycles water, throwing off all the statistics you see about water use, and the fact that multiple major companies have started constructing renewable power plants to hook their AI up to...

@thermophile1695 If anything AI is probably been an overall net positive, it's kickstarted a massive investment in nuclear (the cleanest energy source over life), and if the bubble bursts we will still get those.

@RovexHD They will still need their own accountant. Blindly trusting a machine to do the work is not a good way to run a business. If the AI fails then who is gonna troubleshoot it? If no expert checks the work the AI is doing then how do we know it is doing it correctly? If the AI does something incorrectly then who is gonna be accountable? It's just my perspective, but I don't think AI is gonn…

My thoughts exactly. It's like they're training people NOT to react to videos/news, because "they're all AI fake".

@MarcusNeilgard3000 every society is imperfect. But not everything the CCP does is bad. People judge automatically when it comes to china because of the amount of stigma attached. I can see how this could have negatives but also positives in some ways. I know people that have lived in China and it is not as bad as some would have you believe. I still remain critical of the CCP on some of their po…

Lol, you think this future involves the same population levels we currently have? What would we need all those people for if we have this level of automation?

@rabbadoodles4522 Nah, he pulls out a gun and shoots the judge. He then proceeds to play the video and win the court case. In the aftermath, the court is stunned. But strangely, the video—ironically titled “The Truth That Will Save Us All”—continues to spread across the internet. It sways public opinion. People begin to believe in his cause, forgetting the violent act that took place moments befo…

@gg_nuguthere is no need to be so scared of Ai when everyone is already using all these other apps which are spying on them all the time whether it's Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google, Tinder or whatever. People seem to forget that these apps keep just much tabs on you but then get scared of Ai because it's a new thing.

we will cover jailbreaking in a future episode, but I would recommend visiting the ChatGPT jailbreaking subreddit, they had a Grok jailbreak that was really good.

Also where are you get the statistic of most artist don’t create for creative pursuit. And ai make emotionless slop not because it’s trained on emotionless slop but because it doesn’t know what emotions are.

not really, ai art is boring because you cant get that feeling of seeing a drawing and thinking "oh, i love this person's artstyle, i wonder what else they draw", because tehre is no person. you see an ai image of a fantasy setting and you cant go "oh, i wonder what the race of that character is called, or whats the story of those floating islands" because there is no intent. Its boring because t…

One thing I forgot to mentions is o don’t think using ai is inherently bad I use it all the time to help brain storm ideas, but usually I think ai generated images are cheating to me, they never turn out that great and to me it look soulless at times like no actually love was put into it

Yeah but here's the thing Mark. A true AI will be needed for these to work and it will require every vehicle on the road to also be autonomous in order to move about efficiently enough to warrant the huge infrastructure expenditure. Combine that with if a true AI is developed and can touch the tangible world i.e. no longer being confined to a digital existence, many many many more careers wil…

I don’t think the fear is with AI being hostile. The fear is that we are too stupid or reckless to realize certain ramifications of our own inventions, especially when profit is a motivating driver in a competitive, fast paced environment. We can build hyper fast cars, but we do have maximum capacities and speed limit restrictions, seat belts, airbags, etc. Doesn’t mean hyper fast cars don’t ex…
