As a video editor, I see AI as just another tool to help us do our job better. It’s not something to fear or worry about replacing us. At the end of the day, it’s still about how you use it, and that takes skill and creativity.

@Yellos49 Correct. But let's say that you have a team of 10 editors that are now doing their jobs 2 or 3 times faster thanks to all the new intergrated AI tools in many software packages these days. Than this still leads to number of those editors being fired because that company can now do it with just 3 or 4 of them. (theoretically speaking)

@ Not necessarily. If I have a team of 10 editors and they can do the work 2 or 3 times faster using AI tools, the company could handle a lot more projects, which would likely boost income even more. Instead of cutting down the team, the increased efficiency could lead to more opportunities, allowing the team to focus on more creative or complex tasks, ultimately benefiting both the company and t…

@ Yes, if they remain succesfull and keep on delivering good products. However, new potential clients for such a company could also be reducing as these clients also learn about these AI editing tools. Some of those clients might now try AI edeting for themselfes instead of outsourcing it to proffesionals. We already see this happening with adds. just to point out one example.

@ That’s a valid point, but even though some clients might try AI tools themselves, the demand for high-quality, professional editing will always remain. AI tools can help with speed and automation, but they can’t replace the creative decision-making, storytelling, and attention to detail that professionals bring. Plus, many clients still prefer working with experts who understand their vision an…

Those two are not only completely different skill sets, but without Α.I. Images, programmers still have plenty of work to do in the industry. Artists don’t, they were underpaid and under-appreciated in the professional world even before this. At least before ChatGPT, even the shittiest advertisers had to pay actual people to make their content. -Sincerely, α CS Major (I’d rather work at α KFC th…

@KitoIllustrates so if in the near future ai gets so good that it doesn't need to learn from other human artist you'll be ok?

@stumbongdbut that’s not the point. He literally used resources and wasted water by generating hundreds of AI images.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but you are gravely mistaken . Tesla's FSD is actually classified as a SAE level 2 and with that it is merely an "advanced driver assistance system" ADAS, despite the misleading and in many countries illegal marketing name, by the way. So the "driver" of a Tesla operating with FSD activated sits behind the steering wheel, in the driver seat, at all times. There real…

2) those who do it fro themselves and keeping them in their own private portfolios and never post them up online and have a watermark on it indicating it was AI generated would be a fair compromise. To be clear, I'm not defending AI art theft but when there's a clear watermark it would be fair. Respect where it's due. Lavendertowne, you are an insane artist and no AI can replicate it.

@dr.unventor There are many ways, You can have an image with a pose you want to use and extract the pose, you can make a composition map, just paint with a few different colors and tell the ai what color is what and the ai can figure it out from that, you can also do inpainting, give the ai an area you want to change something in and describe what to replace what is in that area with, you can als…

@patrickshelley09  another issue arises with the fact that Teslas aren't very tall either. Every semi should be equipped with either a camera or a mirror that goes above the passenger door and is pointed straight down. They are a thing. A camera would probably be more effective though. Maybe something on the navigation screen that automatically comes on when the turn signal is switched on. Now th…
