The only ways I can see this going bad, all stem from fear. If we can't find a way to trust in that non-human, or collectively-human moral judgement, our attempts to ensure that we (re)gain full control, to inspect and modify the "inner thoughts" of a digital intelligence, will be the very thing that enables the level of control *required* for AI to be used to create the dystopian/apocalyptic end we'd rather avoid.
