The industry will go where the money is.
If it suddenly becomes cheaper to use AI that can drive for days on end, only needing to stop for gas and repairs, you can bet people are going to switch.
Look at cashier's..there's a small group that refuses to use self checkout, but even that group is getting smaller and smaller.
