Most folks don’t realize that as of the time of this comment, mass education through the entirety of the U.S. of America is only 94 years old. There are literally people alive who quite possibly weren’t mandated to go to school depending on what state they were born in. We are NOT far removed from our past.
It’s still new and the methods are not written in stone. Trying different molds and models is the only way to figure out what works and what doesn’t work
