Thanks for having an open mind. I'm not completely anti-AI, I'm a musician and have found it useful for tasks that require little creative input like EQ or mixing. The stuff that frustrates me is the almost all AI stuff. I'm perfectly fine with anyone using it if they're still skilled in the medium and can do it without the AI. Because if they're not, they usually aren't knowledgeable enough to fix the obvious mistakes. I find it frustrating that a lot of AI art advocates refuse to see things from our perspective. I totally understand the perspective of someone who has never had the urge to make art and suddenly discovers it later in life through AI. That sounds like a positive experience and I'm fine with that being a hobby. I just wish everyone had enough empathy to do the same. I know there are a small amount of enraged artists that refuse to see the humanity in the other person as well. But I tend to give them more grace just because I understand the frustration that comes with potentially losing your job in a craft that you've worked on your whole life. But I'm not as sure why a lot of AI people view all artists as elitists that should all be replaced by robots. I think a lot of those people are more interested in owning the libs, they must be annoying to the regular AI art people who arent spiteful. It's a toxic subject both ways. Also genuinely curious, can you link me to any of the quirky AI music you were talking about? I've yet to hear any AI music that doesn't sound very vanilla and trite, so I would definitely be interested in what the peak of AI music sounds like. Often my biggest complaint is sound design, I listen to music with high end headphones and a headphone amp, but AI music I've heard just falls apart in that context. But again, I am curious to what I could be missing. I'm not here to dunk on you for liking a song that I don't like lol.
