@davidwuhrer6704 you are right that I don’t know you but I do know this.
you will never gain respect or pride for making something you put no work into. And I’m sure you’ll say that prompts are a form of art but you aren’t writing poetry go ahead and share your most beautiful prompt but I don’t expect much.
I’ll be frank, these failed artists are looking for a shortcut, a cheat so they don’t need to build a skill but that is only going to harm you in the long term.
Ai is impressive but anything it makes is the product of the programmers that made it and the artists whose art they used(stole).
You brought up plumbing vs hauling water so I’ll use that analogy. You don’t get to take credit for your sewage system just because you flushed your damn toilet. Yes modern plumbing is a major achievement but unless you installed those pipes or learned to fix them you do not get to take credit for it. if you want credit or praise you have to be the one to make or improve something. It isn’t easy to become skilled at something especially art. I wouldn’t call myself a good artist….but I’m improving and that will bring me more happiness then having an ai do it for me ever would.
