The fact this guy said that the AI is hard coded to say it is an AI should be enough proof that it is not sentient or conscious at all. The idea that a computer is conscious is to accept the fact that it has free will and hard coded anything will not apply to it.
Google has built an advanced chat bot that learns how to have meaning full conversation with people, that's all it is. If google truly had a sentient AI, you best believe they will use that to make money and sell their products more.
