Putting aside the copyright issue of stealing millions of lines of code, this just isn't sustainable in the long term and we've been seeing this. Making AI better is getting exponentially more expensive for very little improvement. We're talking billions for fractions of a percent. When you could pay real people a fraction of this for something far better. Not to mention the environmental cost would be far less.
Additionally, AI really doesn't do great for novel problems. There will always be new problems, and humans will always be able to hop on those faster than internet scrapers can.
