The people who defent AI "art" are the ones who see art as merely a product to be bought and sold. They don't understand how it feels to truly express yourself by creating something. Art isn't about the result, its about the process. Pouring hours into something that you came up with yourself is much more rewarding than just typing something in for a quick result. Of course over time AI art will look better and indistinguishable from real art (if we continue down this path that is) but it will not destroy the human need for people to create art for themselves, we have been doing it for thousands of years and likely thousands more. The fact is AI "art" is a cheap vase made in a factory you got at Walmart that's eaisly replaceable and art made by humans is the weird one of a kind vase you got at an antique store that you just can't bare to part with.
