If you take a bunch of data on human (racist) police action in areas of poverty, you are going to end up with a racist alg. Im sorry, thats just they way machine learning works. Its only as good as the data you have collected. Just because people in african american neighborhoods get arrested more often for petty crimes DOES NOT MEAN they commit crimes at a higher rate than white people. Like its some sort of genetic thing?? Its not, its systematic oppression. I have a degree in comp sci.
