Not how it works. His expertise is AI safety. Simulation Theory can be debated in philosophy as a thought experiment, but it's inconsequential about how technology works and how AI will work. His expertise stands, just as if someone who's really good at fixing cars just happens to believe in astrology. He believes in astrology therefore he can't fix my car is a ridiculous argument.
