If you truly believe we should “ban AI from taking jobs,” then you should also admit you were already using an early form of AI when you relied on calculators in college.
Back then, you didn’t complain that calculators were “taking jobs” from people who used to do math by hand.
You used them because they made you faster, more accurate, and more capable.
Technology has always reshaped the job market: from calculators, to computers, to the internet, to smartphones.
And every time, humanity adapted, evolved, and created new kinds of jobs that didn’t exist before.
The issue isn’t banning AI.
The real challenge is integrating it in a way that amplifies human ability without destroying human dignity.
If you benefited from technology in your education, pretending we can halt progress now isn’t just unrealistic… it’s hypocritical.
The real question isn’t:
“How do we stop AI?”
The real question is:
“How do we ensure AI works for us, instead of us working for it?”
