@FazeMagikarpI agree with you there. Poor choice of naming, but that doesn’t change the fact that you are given a warning before you can enable it that it does not make the car autonomous and that you must be ready to take over at all times. Tesla really should change the name to something more descriptive of its actual capabilities though. For example, their more advanced self driving feature is actually called Full Self Driving (Supervised) which is perfectly descriptive because it can fully drive you from point A to B but you still have to supervise it. Why they still call their inferior lane keeping feature Autopilot is baffling, but ultimately it’s just a name. Just like any other feature in a car, you should understand what it can and can’t do before using it.
