Hi Max! Love your stuff.
AI will do to jobs what factory automation did for making things: it will take all the boring, tedious parts and leave the highly skilled portions for humans.
Think of what humans used to have to do to make a chair. One single person did almost all the work, from chopping the tree to putting on the final coat of varnish. This made good chairs affordable to only the wealthy, and others had to make their own. When manufacturing came in, suddenly almost anyone could afford a sturdy, comfortable and affordable chair. You can still go to a craftsman’s specialist for designer furniture, but we don’t have to have as many people doing that work. They are now free to pursue other things.
AI will make things faster and cheaper, and the tedious parts of a job will largely be completed by AI.
What I don’t want to see are the AI boyfriend, girlfriend, or therapist. Those concepts have already caused harm to people.
