I think using the SA label here is a VERY bad idea as it undermines the much worse situation of real physical assaults. This should probably be it's own category of crime, probably related to or derived from libel/slander.
In any case, it's not an assault of any kind, and erasing the line between them will likely cause more problems in the future in the same ways as the abuses by liars who conflate other people's words with violence, and their own violence with speech. Not only does this enable their abuses, but by misusing language you make it so people won't actually take you seriously once the pattern of language abuse is recognized.
Call things by their proper names. Mere libel/slander may not seem serious enough terms for this, but elevating it to assault weakens the term assault. You don't want somebody brutally beaten and graped conflated with someone who's coworker shared a deep fake of them that everybody knew wasn't real to begin with.
