@jackstrawfulSo no, you’re wrong. They do “mapping of semantic relationships” based on rote order of words over billions of samples. It’s quite obvious LLM’s lack any conceptualization beyond their ability to “probability parrot” likely permutations of word orderings. It never ceases to amaze me at how deep and ingrained the hype is that makes many people think there’s anything deeper going on there. There isn’t. LLM’s are really, really stupid. In fact, they lack any intelligence whatsoever.
