No its not, you can study for an AP test on Physics for example for 5 hours without a prior Physics course instead of spending a year in a class and pass it. AI happens to be the best way of studying in our modern day. When those kids decided to really devote their time to studying, they were able to study far more in 2 hours than they may have ever learned on that subject.
