as a white man with a child married to a black person I hate to differ. not to say it's easy being a black person today because it's not. some of it is due to a slavery 'hangover' but most of it is due to the things Charlie is pointing out. if the black nuclear family is loving and in tact then blacks will prosper much more. no one is stopping that from happening. plus, take advantage of the opportunities in education available to you. the one thing I wish Kirk would do is be a little more patient/compassionate with this young man. even though I disagree with him I do believe he is sincere in what he is saying.
