It's no more than an idiot projecting his own fictitious beliefs onto an AI that is as far away from sentience as I am from the Andromeda galaxy. I don't think this is a PR stunt, I think Google is probably relatively annoyed with him, and for good reason, he's stirring up a sensational storm of bullshit that's sucking in the ignorant, uneducated and conspiracy theorists, all of which have no idea what they're on about.
