Every process has a flaw, but you are not going to throw it away nust because of that. You might try to work around it, with it, or maybe even improve it. Facial recognition is getting better the more it is used because companies are outting more money into their camera systems and the programs are becoming more detailed. Plus want if this was a felon charge, would you want the police to ignore it just because they cannot be 100% sure? Of course not, especially if it involved a violent action. Maybe in this instance they could have made a different approach, but they chose not to. Why? I don't know. Maybe there is something that isn't immediately said to try to keep hostile action to a minimum. Maybe the guy was ID'd by a third party after the software had done so. If so, the warrant for his arrest would make far more sense even if it was incorrect. All this to say thatyou need to work with your officers instead of being a pest amking their already stressful lives harder for the sake of "your rights". If they did something wrong file a complaint or bring it to a courtroom, do not try to fight with them about it on the street.
