I get it.. but should we have stayed on wagons and horses?
Should we have stayed on floors full of typists and calculators ( humans whose job was to do math calculations accurately)?
The problem isn't trucks.
The problem is that AI and embodied AI are artificial humans that cost $1 to $2 per hour to operate. There is *no* job that is safe except those in power who can pass laws to protect their own jobs. Even CEO's are going to be optional.
It could be utopian... you just get free housing ,food, medical care, education, and entertainment with a small luxury stipend.
It could be the Luddites all over again. They just wanted training on the new machines- and the government put them down with guns. And left the luddites to early deaths of exposure, homelessness, and starvation.
