I was in public school my whole life in worst 10% school in terms of education. In no way I am a genius but after getting into college with a suffering but average act score. I can say that coming from better states with better schools is 1000% better. Almost every single person around me is smarter and quicker and I have to study a lot harder to get relatively the same grades. I was also #6 in my high school.
