@dendord Sure, the AI lion wasn't a good reference. In fact, I would not consider it if I needed to give a reference to an artist. I was thinking of the AI rabbit when I wrote my comment. But no matter what reference you take, a reference is not something to copy from (aside of OC ref sheets, those are exceptions). You normally have to keep the idea of the reference the person gives. It's like you see the picture and say to yourself "okay, that's a picture of a lion lying on the ground, the lion facing to a lake and he's drinking water. He's facing and looking at the photographer/camera, etc etc...". You see, once, I asked an artist to remake an AI image that I liked. It was made with DALL-E 2 and it was one of my OC that was painting. For some time, it was my avatar on several websites. I told the artist that I wanted a real image from a real artist, so I would replace the AI image I made using DALL-E 2 with their drawings. The artist understands and get my image to work with. The result drawing from the artist was far from the original. The general idea was here, I told what I was looking for to the artist, the rest was discarded. The artist made a wonderful drawing, it was perfect for me. I was really happy with the result. Since, it's my main avatar that I use everywhere and definitively replace the AI one. So, the artist did not care about the AI, but the concept it. They take the pose, the angle, the objects, looking and stuff like that. They also asked me for some details and I added a ref sheet (from another artist) to make my avatar. At no point I asked them to make a 1:1 copy of my AI picture, it's pointless.
