1 in 5 employees. The first to be cut will be HR, recruitment etc. There has also been a massive amount of companies cutting ad spend past year due to macroeconomic conditions in particular tariffs. I suspect that ad spend being cut is having a bigger impact than folks think. AI is an excuse but they will just do a combination of quietly shutting down products, hiring overseas, hiring “interns” and jrs to replace principals etc
