@_-insertname-_ Sorry, I don't agree. There is nothing about these AI models which is someone else's "working hours". There is nothing comparable to "stealing" in a the training process. If I average 2, 3, and 7 together, did I "steal" anything to come to the 4? The AI's training is more comparable to an abstract form of averaging, than storing any actual data from any images. If the model stored anything about individual training images, it would be orders of magnitude larger in file size, and wouldn't be possible for us to download and run ourselves. Many merely use AI art as a rough drafting step, or to give them ideas. Some use their pre-existing photoshop skills to touch-up AI art, rework it, or otherwise remix it. It is just a tool artists can use. Yes, businesses are likely to hire fewer artists in the future, but that was always going to happen, and there's really nothing that can stop that, we need to change our economic systems and societal views, to adapt. And sure, right now it sucks there are so many idiots selling the "get rich quick" schemes here on youtube involving it, but those are just temporary reactions and most people know better. Some have been predicting this for a while, and suggesting that if this is where technology is going, capitalism itself may not be compatible with where it's taking us.
