When police interviewed the (drunk) witness he said nothing about the suspect being pregnant. Police (as a matter of procedure) ask for all kinds of identifying information, height, age, weight, hair/eye/skin color, distinguishing marks, etc. Being visibly pregnant (which Woodruff was) wouldn't be something you'd just forget to mention regardless of how drunk you are. When the police arrived at Woodruff's home to arrest her and saw she was 8 months pregnant, they should have realized something wasn't adding up (as any idiot would) and done further investigating.
So yes, faulty AI, drunk witness, and bumbling police are all responsible.
