@cHAOs9 the study of our brain is perhaps the least rigorous major field of study. we don't know why our brains behave the way they do, the vast majority of our psychological theories fall short of explaining human behaviour in a holistic way and are immensely influenced by cultural biases. the only thing we know about our brains is the outward behavior they display and how the connections work in a very general way. _none_ of anything else is replicable by us nevertheless understandable. the only hope we do have of making something that approaches a human brain is by relying on the emergent behaviour of computers as we pour more and more computation into an architecture, but "emergent behaviour" for generative AI is still probabilistic and is already plateauing. sorry for being snarky but we're quite literally at a minimum centuries off from the fears of the author in the video coming true, if ever.
