Lavender I really like your channel, but you have no idea what are you talking about:
For starters using Nightshade to "Poison" your work, is using AI in your work, so technically, you are an AI artist now.
Nighshade works by changing the "implicit prompt" of a image, an artistic equivalent should be like putting a layer with your watermark, but sending the illustrator file and the exported PNG, sure in the most trivial of cases you deter the removal of your watermark, and granted the most typical webpages don't show the extracted prompt, but you tactic is the equivalent to expecting that all the people keep using windows 98 paint while you use illustrator.
2:16 The "collapse of AI"? Are you telling that your argument that you are using is the same argument in favor of Sam Altman, that guy that "stole your art" to create openAI so he can hoard even more data?, rest assured, that collapse didn't happen, openAI even with more data isn't much better than other alternatives, the hype of "even bigger models with more data" past long ago and a good chuck of "data" is already synthetically created by AI, but don't know which fraction of "art" is training is already synthetic.
I mean if your argument is the plot point of a game that it is used just to mix scify and fantasy themes, so what, I take from that game the cooperation and bonding, that by the way is what the game director take as inspiration, maybe you are projecting into the game what you wanna see, just like in your next point about your "originality" of something you saw before, I don't get fields, I get road runner desert, Australian outback and Mexican festivals for the use of skulls , giving me an eclectic and off putting feelling, so the soul of your work is nowhere to be found, because it never was in you work, is in the "shared culture", granted many works can work without that, but you have to immerse the reciever and the receiver must be willing to immerse itself, failing any of those conditions and won't have the shared bond, the soul, that you are looking for..
6:34 well you ask for literally the "screencap", so obviously you are making it remember the screencaps, and depending of where those images come from, it can be and overfitted model, created specifically to generates those images, I also can take an fake artist that trace all their work and shame the artist community for their lack of creativity, right?.
8:33 references?, are you really thinking the any artist won't start with an image search for details? or instead use a couple of AI images as storyboard references or about the composition of the image, stop strawmaning this!, also using three short lines as prompt?, that must be the equivalent of making a drawing with only four colors, one type of brush, no layers , undo nor eraser, and no save until the end, in a five minute time frame, of course will be a lousy result.
12:00 technically is correct, the luddites where against some technology, the automated frame, but where ok with the manually operated frame, because it was their income source. If I take my Luddite Stand, YOU aren't a real artist, you don't mix your own pigments, nor prepare you own canvas (and you would think I'm very unhinged), For context remember when photography appear, it wasn't a real art like painting; movies wasn't a real art like the theatres, Radio wasn't real art like opera or concerts, television wasn't real art like movies, digital photography wasn't real art like photography, digital images wasn't real art like digital photography, 3D graphics wasn't real art like practical effects, need to go on?.
13:15 Isn't your argument denigrating all artists, when you say pick a piece of paper and any pen, and your at the same level than any artist, or maybe the point is that now isn't required years of experiences to get, according to you, a subpar result, but it is free in the great majority of cases and only take a couple of minutes, can you offer something better to someone that isn't that interested, Can I commission your your work for free? or do expect that everyone sink a of years and a lot of money in hardware and software?
16:00 you know how many open source art model are already out? the Ghibli thing happens many month ago in the open source scene. Also the backlash for apple commercial was about a pile of art an traditional items being crushed by an hydraulic press, destroyed in the process until they where compacted into a phone. I doubt that sit well with anyone.
