two reasons i can think of:
A) artistic: claiming you're an artist when AI is doing the work, lack of effort, visually bad, etc. this is the reason i don't like it so much
B) financial: probably the main reason, but essentially artists would lose job opportunities should AI become more used (especially by companies). at first i thought artists who do physical art (traditional paintings/drawings, or cultural art like batik) would be safe but their problem is a whole nother story
