Robots with an Artificial Intelligence will be a thing in the future anyway and at some point , humans will become robots aswell
also , having robots who can invent things wouldnt be bad , like , we would only create Robots that are like things we are familar with ( pets , Humans etc ) a Robot could come up with completely weird but still good designes
