AI is the next milestone for science. It might suck now but in the near future its gonna make life much better. Human intelligence has a limit and general relativity and quantum are already pretty much bordering it, highly unlikely we will find a way to synthesize the two to create the theory of everything without draining the planet of all it's resources to power a singularity ai, but from that point on, progress will be unimaginable. Getting to kardeshev level 2 will be trivial at that point. No more hunger, no more cancer, maybe not even pain or sufferring, not even sadness.
