I really take issue with the fact many people say that with AI the price of things will come down. Humans that run these companies aren't nice, generous people. Some sectors might decrease prices, but doubtfully all of them. They aren't going to offer a generous basic income, how does creating AI change the human insecure greed aspect, highly doubtful.
The cost of energy that will run AI alone suggests this is inaccurate, unless they finally unveil a hidden energy tech they've been hiding, and there are plenty, look no further than defense industries.
