I have a disability called disgraphia. It’s similar to dyslexia but affects writing instead of reading. I still write as a hobby and I refuse to use AI as a shortcut to bypass my disability, AI has so many ethical issues that I refuse to use it for even spell checking, I can just use my documents editor for that and ask for help from friends to spell check for me. I also have an RSI in both wrists which requires frequent breaks resulting in a very slow writing pace. I still refuse to use AI as a bypass. Even beyond the ethical concerns it’s not my writing if I tell an LLM to do it for me. While these aren’t severe disabilities they undoubtably cause difficulties when writing. A YouTuber I watched called it “Laundered Plagiarism” which is quite fitting if you ask me.
