Interview? They air a few disjointed phrases and call that an interview? Then, they bring in someone nobody knows to pontificate with an anchor for over half the segment. I would have really rather heard what Gates had to say. Maybe a complete sentence or two - dare I say consecutive sentences? No. I am sure the “contributor” has more value to add than an actual software expert like Gates. SMH. I may not agree with Gates, but I would much rather hear his thoughts than listen to third party chatter.
To be sure, no one in industry is going to get on the regulation train until AI is well and truly monetized and has an inertia that only monied interests (like Gates) can affect. The health insurance industry is going to have an absolute field day with this tech. Imagine your “personalized” premium payment rising and falling like the stock market with every social media post about what you ate that day. It will be pitched as a “discount” program, but the baseline rate will just keep skyrocketing year over year.
