Raw LLM Responses

As someone who uses Midjourney I feel this video, I've had different kinds of people argue with me, those who get super zealous just make me want to push back against them cause I'm kind stubborn like that and I'm actually kind of happy I get to use an A.I. to try and make images as close to my own fantasy universe as possible. People on reddit are just... assholes if that is the cleanest thing I may say. When I saw the capabilities of the A.I. I got a bit excited and tried to use image-to-image to see what it could do, but real quickly I found that to be distasteful and kind of dishonorable to just do that. So I made myself the rule that if I ever use any kind of A.I. artwork then it has to be purely from a prompt-based process and if any artist then claims it's a solid copy of their works then I'll be fair, see if the copy is true and then try to work out the differences. I understand how artists feel, I couldn't imagine some random bot grabbing all my hard world building work and just churning it out for millions of random people, that would infuriate me to hell and back. That being said, If an A.I. is capable of taking pieces from multiple sources and then creating something to the point it becomes it's own thing (as I try to do with Midjourney) I think that atleast should be considered as something interesting to use. My problem really is that I'm not all too familiar with the whole artist scene and a lot of times when I look at any open commission the pricetag is so huge that I just end up not going for any at all. A.I. just seemed like a dream come true, a way for me to bring to life the images in my head by trying to prompt it in such a way that it generates what exactly I'm aiming for, or somewhat close. I am conflicted, on one hand there's this technology that doesn't cost me a fortune to try and make the art that I wish I could draw myself, on the other I don't want people to get screwed over and lose out on their livelihoods because of A.I. I hope any comment won't be more of those zealous types but people who see that I try to be responsible and/or people who understand the position of someone who would love to commission artists if only I had the money to do it all.
